The journal aims to promote the production, dissemination, and critical debate of legal knowledge, contributing to the improvement of judicial practice and to the understanding of contemporary challenges faced by justice systems.
The journal constitutes an academic and institutional forum dedicated to theoretical, empirical, and interdisciplinary reflection on law, jurisdiction, judicial organization, and the relationships between justice, the State, and society. It seeks to foster research that addresses social, political, economic, and technological transformations, as well as the impact of conflicts and institutional crises on the functioning of justice.
Editorial management is conducted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS 3), developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) at the University of British Columbia. The journal accepts original manuscripts in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, encouraging the internationalization of scientific production and academic exchange.
The journal welcomes research addressing contemporary challenges of judicial practice in national and international contexts, including, among others, the legal, institutional, and social impacts of conflicts, wars, political crises, technological transformations, and globalization processes.
The journal encourages theoretical, empirical, comparative, and interdisciplinary approaches, bringing together contributions from judges, scholars, researchers, graduate students, and legal professionals from law and related fields, aiming at the advancement of legal knowledge and the strengthening of justice institutions.
