Abstract

The content researched on this article is the general theory of civil procedure, starting with the approach about the head points of history evolution, since primitive era until the scientific proceduralism. After, exposes several concepts of the doctrine, with lessons about the jurisdiction, the act and the process, as well as the types of sources that create the civil process. Lastly, it explains the principles of the jurisdiction access, of the due process of law, of adversarial and of reasonable duration of the proceedings. The research aims to introduce the elements of general theory and get together the technical knowledge to contribute as a theorical foundation. Besides the importance to understand the theme, the article selects the essentials questions that constitute the civil process. The technique of the research uses is the bibliography, because is based on classic and modern doctrines, and the method is the deductive.
